Our History
The Groove Community Foundation, Incorporated was established in January of 2015. Our Past International President, Victor Henderson, determined that a fundraising entity was needed to support the efforts of the Community Service Committee of the Directorate of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc.
The Groove Community Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization established to support the community service initiatives of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc. The Board of Directors of the Groove Community Foundation, Inc. are Dr. Alexander Russell (President), Mr. Art Brown (Secretary), Mr. Jeff Patterson (Treasurer), Mr. Louis Harris, Mr. Sean McDonald, Mr. Babatunde Olu, Mr. James Stewart, Mr. Parker Patterson, and Mr. Kenneth Woods.
Our Mission
The Groove Community Foundation, Incorporation’s mission is to: serve mankind through the growth and development of young men through the Groove Leadership Academy, develop community service initiatives, support communities during natural disasters, and recognize individuals who have excelled as volunteers. It is hoped that families and individuals will reach self-actualization as a result of Groove Community Foundation, Incorporated efforts.
